M20 Features
You've heard us go on about how flexible and powerful the M20 is, so here's your chance to put us to the test! Just compare the features below to any other product on the market. We think you'll agree that the M20 is somewhat special!
Basics
- The M20 is a modular based mastering console. You can add extra features to your M20 at any time, so your studio is always capable of doing what you want.
- Usually you can upgrade your M20, without it having to be returned to Crookwood, saving you time and money.
- The audio processing and routing is done in modular remote 1RU racks. These are air cooled (no fans, no noise) so can be kept in the same room as your other gear, or can be mounted in a machine room.
- The control panels are compact and slim, with a lowl acoustic impact. They can be mounted into your own studio furniture, into a 4RU 19" space, or into one of our movable wooden pods.
- All the information as to your routing, levels, selections and workflow is permanently displayed on the controllers. You can see at a glance what's happening , and alter things just as easily, often without looking at the controllers, just using your ears and hands to get the balance right.
- All levels are displayed in clear numeric numbers to make it easy to recall them, while you can also see the positions of knobs and switches.
- You can save and recall settings on power up and power down.
- It has all the stereo features of our M1 console, plus the surround features you need.
Monitoring
- Monitor stereo or surroundĀ digital external machines. The digital machines are automatically routed to a (monitor) DAC for monitoring.
- Listen also to 2 internal monitor points - record path source, and record output
- Each monitor point, internal and external has it's own monitor trim levelĀ in 0.25dB increments, so you can A/B any source to any other, removing all level differences.
- Choose the monitor DAC to use from either our excellent internal converters, or your preferred external one
- 3 speakers plus headphone output, each with its own level - connect everything, move between speaker sets with ease!
- Comprehensive stereo check features: Mono, Phase and Mute checks - diagnose any audio faults
- Comprehensive surround check features:Solo, cut or phase flip any speaker, foldown to mono, stereo or flip stereo foldown to the rears for better stereo angles
