All Crookwood products are modular, based around racks and audio cards.  This makes it really easy to upgrade or expand them.

Most expansion can be done without having to return the console to the factory, so it's easy at any time to enhance your console to match your current needs.

Morphing Consoles

We can morph any product into any other, because it's all modular and software controlled.

So you can go from a small M1 to a larger one, or even from a C class controller to a M class mastering console: it's all possible! You can even downsize, if you no longer need certain features.  We have enormous flexibility in what is possible.

Popular morphs are adding more inserts, more sources, converter pooling or digital routing.

Feature Upgrades

Within each console model, there are various options, for instance whether or not you use our internal digital converters.  At any point in the future, you can purchase these options and add them to your console.  This enables you to start smaller, and add features as your budget and workflow require.  A great benefit for a new studio, unsure of it's inital clientelle.

Surround Upgrades

For each of our stereo consoles, there is a surround equivalent.  We currently offer 5.1 versions and 7.1 versions, but have made 10.2 and even 15.1 custom versions of some products!  It's easy to upgrade and you don't have to throw away any of your initial console, just pay for the extra bits.

Not only is this environmentally friendly, but it's also cash friendly!  And our course you will be using a familiar interface to control the products, so reducing your learning curve.
