C10 Models and Options

modelsThere are 3 basic C10 models.

Each model has identical monitoring facilities, but a different number of inputs. As the number of inputs  grow,  the size of the control panels also increases. We also offer 7.1 versions of each monitor controller.

Between these 3 models, we can accommodate the vast majority of your surround monitoring needs.

The three models are:

  • C10-4AS-4DS (C10 with 4 analogue sources and 4 digital sources  -16x16 digital crosspoint)
  • C10-8AS-8DS (C10 with 8 analogue sources and 8 digital sources - 24x24 digital crosspoint)
  • C10-15AS-14DS (C10 with 16 analogue sources and 16 digital sources - 32x32 digital crosspoint)

 Monitor Features

Each model has these same monitor features:

  • 3 speaker outputs and an optional stereo headphones output
  • Solo, mute and phase reverse for each speaker channel
  • Presetable dim
  • A-B monitor offset trims, so you can A/B differences accurately
  • Fine, repeatable volume control level steps
  • Speaker level calibration
  • Stereo check features - mono sum, difference
  • Surround check features - fold to mono, fold to stereo, fold to rears, mono rears
  • Monitor insert
  • Analogue meter output

The larger consoles have more check features

 7.1 Features

Each model can be specified as a 5.1 or 7.1 controller.  Any 5.1 controllers can be upgraded to a 7.1 controller at any point in time. The 7.1 versions have these functions:

  • All surround inputs, are 8 channels wide
  • All monitor outputs are 8 channels wide
  • A 7.1 fold option is added so you can listen to 5.1 material on a 7.1 player without reconfiguring the rear speakers (most blu rays place the 5.1 rears into the 7.1 sides, rather than the 7.1 rear speakers)

 Further Options

In addition for each controller, you can specify any of these options:

  • -DA: our excellent internal DACs, ideal for monitoring or recording conversion
  • -AD: our equally excellent ADCs, ideal for recording conversion
  • -BM: true bass management for additional subwoofers, mono or stereo
  • -DS: digital speaker output for driving digital speakers
  • -VU: stereo analogue VU meters, with built in attenuator for correct operation. Available in 2RU or standard front panel package
  • -TB: stereo talkback module, for talkback mix or replace of stereo cue feeds
  • -GP: GPIO control panel to send and receive up to 8 contacts
  • -CN: connector kits, Dsubs, XLR patchbays, or snakes
  • -KT: mounting kits, wooden pods, 19" mounting or mount in studio furniture
